Tim White produced a small number of models, each built with intention and a deep respect for the finest examples of late fifties tone. His output was never large, but every set carried the touch, balance and musical honesty that defined his work. These are the models that shaped his reputation and earned him a permanent place among the great humbucker makers.

Timbucker

The original Tim White design. This model became known for its ability to capture the spirit of the best late fifties humbuckers. The mids bloom with authority, the highs are sweet without becoming brittle and the lows remain tight. Players often described the Timbucker as a pickup that made their guitar feel more alive and expressive, offering the kind of clarity and depth usually associated with well aged vintage examples.

Timbucker Low Wind

A lighter and more open version of the original Timbucker. This model offers increased air, a slightly quicker attack and a sweeter top end. It retains the harmonic complexity that defines Tim’s work but shifts the feel toward the earliest PAF examples, known for their breath and shimmer. The Low Wind remains one of the most sought after versions because of its ability to bring out the natural character of the guitar.

Timbucker EdA

A legendary small batch model created for Ed A, a player known for his deep knowledge of real vintage PAFs. This version was wound to reflect the qualities of Ed’s personal favorite set. It is more dimensional, more reactive to touch and more harmonically rich than anything else in Tim’s catalog. The EdA model is rare, respected and remembered for its remarkable sense of presence. It remains one of the most coveted humbuckers ever produced in such limited numbers.

Timbucker High Wind

A very limited higher output variation of the Timbucker. This model shifts the voice toward the later fifties and early sixties style with a stronger midrange push and a more forceful response under the pick. It remains extremely rare, built only in small numbers and primarily for players who wanted the feel of a slightly hotter vintage example without sacrificing the clarity and musicality that defined Tim’s work.

These four models represent the full known catalog of Tim White’s pickups. Each one reflects his commitment to tone and his refusal to compromise. They are reminders of a craftsman who wound with purpose and left behind a legacy appreciated by those who understand what great humbuckers are supposed to feel like.
